School Holidays

We've successfully survived our first full school term in New Zealand! I am so proud of how well all of our kids have done! Reese enjoyed her time at Kindy and we celebrated a fun Matariki Night with her school. Trevor earned 2 awards this term, one from his teacher and one from the school music teacher. Gavin has done better this term with getting into his groove, making friends, accomplishing his assignments, and learning Maori. Ethan's teacher was so impressed with how well he's adjusted and has become a leader in his class. One proud mama!

The kids have been on a 2 week break. We've had a nice lazy time staying up later, sleeping in, maybe lots of screen time, outside play when we can, cooking yummy treats, and just hanging out. The weather has been finicky and it has rained a lot over break. The kids love going down to the skate park the most and getting better on their new scooters. We grabbed fish & chips ones night and had a picnic at the skate park and watched the kids do their fun tricks. We also took advantage of the sun one morning and met friends for a stroll along our backyard beach. The kids loved climbing the cool trees and exploring the tide pools. We sure love where we live!
