The morning was cloudy and drizzly so we spent the day house hunting. It is quite the process! We have been using the trademe property website to look for rentals throughout the Auckland area. We've looked in the country & more rural parts of the north shore, we've looked in the city, and we've looked on the coast. We're still just as confused as when we started! But, we know something will show up and it will all work out. It's hard to find a home that is in nice condition, not too far of a commute, close to good elementary (they call it primary) and middle (they call it intermediate) schools, near the beach or rural area that would make a great neighborhood, and in a good price range. We have faith that we'll find the right place for our family soon.
We promised the kids that the first week would be full of lots of boring things but we would always do something fun each day. So in between house hunting, we stopped at another beach. Murrays Bay was a quiet little area near Browns Bay and of course the kids loved playing in the water. I'm sure we will have quite the seashell collection within a few months time!
