Snells Beach

I had some church business to attend to in the Snells Beach area, so we made a fun family afternoon of the trek up north. It was a nice sunny afternoon and we loved having a break from the rain! We drove to Scott Point in Mahurangi. We watched the boats teetering in the water and walked along the shore. The shore was lined with massive trees begging to be climbed! The kids loved playing around the trunks and climbing through the branches. I absolutely love watching my kids come alive whenever we're at the beach. They run to their hearts' content, throw rocks into the water, and sift through shells. Being at the beach is so peaceful and calming. We found a good takeaways place and got dinner to go. Cody and I always get fresh fish & chips, Ethan likes getting a burger, and the other 3 always love battered sausages (like corn dogs). We tried muscles this time too...and we are not fans! We took our hot food and ate at a park right along the beach. We had a beautiful view of the setting sun. Then the kids ran off to play right after their tummies were full. Parks in New Zealand are awesome! They always have the best playground equipment! We had fun letting loose as a family and getting dizzy and swinging hi. We all got back in the car with smiles on our faces and happy tummies. Saturdays are the best!
