Hamilton Gardens

The Hamilton temple is 2 hours away so unfortunately we don't get to go as often as we used to. Cody & I take turns going in each time we go. I went last time while he stayed with the kids so this time I stayed out with the kids while he went inside. Since it's quite a trek, we make a day of it. This time we drove down with our good friends and were able to chat the whole time. We sure love them!

While Cody went inside to do service, I took the kids to the Hamilton Gardens. It was a gorgeous day! Last time, Cody took the kids while I was at the temple but it was a cold & rainy day. So our experience this time around was much more enjoyable! The sky was bright blue, the flowers were so colorful, the gardens were peaceful and creative. We all loved it! Each garden had a theme. We could have been there for hours.

We headed back to the temple and had some time to spare. So we went into the Visitor Center and looked at the displays and watched a new Meet the Mormons video that we all enjoyed. Once we met up with Cody we took a family picture in front of the Christus statue. 

We had heard of a good & cheap place to get ice cream on the way home. We can never pass up a good ice cream place =) The kids were in heaven with their double scooped cones...it was probably the highlight of their day. It was a great ending to a great day!
